Creative Ways to Support the Toledo Police Museum

The Toledo Police Museum is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. Please give consideration to the following opportunities. All monetary donations will be used to support the museum’s mission to preserve our history, educate, honor and memorialize our fallen officers.

 

Monetary Donation

Work Place Giving

City of Toledo employees can make monthly payroll deductions to the Toledo Police Museum.

Kroger Community Rewards

The Toledo Police Museum is listed in the Kroger Community Rewards Program. Go online with your Kroger Card, log in or create an account and locate and select the Toledo Police Museum under Community Rewards. Our community number is 81113.

Corporate Giving

We are proud to have many local businesses support the work of the Toledo Police Museum. If you are interested in supporting the museum as a corporation, local business or charitable foundation, please contact the Museum.

Memorial Brick Pathway

Purchase an engraved memorial brick for the museum pathway. Two sizes of bricks are available for $100 or $250. Order forms are available at the museum or you can download here.

Donation of Gift Cards

Gift cards to grocery, office supply and home improvement stores can be utilized for daily operations and museum improvements.

 

Donation of Items

We are always looking to expand our museum inventory. If you have items that you wish to donate or loan the museum, please bring the items to the museum during our hours of operation or contact a museum representative.

Volunteer

We are always looking for retired and/or active police officers or their family members to work as a volunteer. We need volunteers to do research, clean, staff the museum and assist with museum maintenance. Click here for a form and mail it in! We would love to have you!

 

Spread the Word

Visit often and remember to tell you friends, family, co-workers and neighbors about the Toledo Police Museum. The more people who visit the museum, the better we will be able to serve the community.

Gift Shop

Purchase items offered at the Toledo Police Museum Gift Shop.

Events

Throughout the year, the museum will host various fundraising events. Details will be posted on the museum website, Facebook page and at the museum.

Funeral Bequests

Your family can request that in lieu of flowers, a donation in your memory be made to the Toledo Police Museum. Memorial bequests can be downloaded here and are available at the museum and area funeral homes.

Planned Giving/Estate Planning

After providing for your loved ones, you can leave a legacy to law enforcement by making a contribution to The Toledo Police Museum, Inc. through your estate. Planned Giving includes: Will or Living Trust; Life Insurance Policy, Retirement Funds and Funeral Bequests.

Will or Living Trust

All it takes is directing part of your estate to go to the Toledo Police Museum in your will or trust. You can designate a fixed dollar amount or donate a percentage of your estate. There is no immediate cost to you, but it’s a decision that will have a lasting impact on preserving the history of the Toledo Police Department.

Life Insurance Policy

Policies that are no longer needed for their original purpose can be valuable gifts and can result in welcome tax savings. You may name The Toledo Police Museum as a primary or contingent beneficiary of a policy you already own. Or you can purchase a new life insurance policy and designate The Toledo Police Museum, Inc., as the beneficiary.

Retirement Funds

After providing for loved ones, you can make a meaningful gift to the Toledo Police Museum from “what’s left” in your retirement accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), pension plans, 401(k) accounts and the like.
